Week 46

November 9th, 2009

I’m finally back from my studies abroad and I now have a million ideas to implement for the site. On another note, the Wiki idea has been put on the shelf for now due to serious performance issues. I’ll look into that plugin code once I’ve finished implementing the site.

Week 36-44 Academica

September 17th, 2009

I’ll be finishing up my studies at KTH for the next 2 months. During this period I won’t have time to publish any new text/video tutorials. Still, if you find something wrong with the new site please leave a comment and I’ll try to fix it as soon as I can.

September 8th, 2009

The text tutorials can now be edited by anyone, even without having to log in. Just navigate to a tutorial section and hit the edit link if you feel that you can improve its quality. Tell me how (if) it works. Note that the text tutorials on the site are based on the audio scripts used for the video tutorials. Therefore all of them currently need to be rewritten.

Vids online

September 8th, 2009

The video tutorials are now online both for downloading and viewing. Cheers!

Beta Testing

September 6th, 2009

The new site is now online for beta testing. Although a lot of programming hours still remain most of the main functionality has been implemented. Aside from the new design and speed optimizations this site will integrate the news blog, the video tutorial player, and the text tutorials into one consistent site.

I have uploaded the video tutorial audio scripts from the Wiki and have started to convert them into proper text tutorials. However, this process will likely take a couple of weeks. Note that the video tutorials are not yet online.

PVT 2.0

August 31st, 2009

Welcome to the new face of PVT. We’re currently working on a complete redesign of our site. The new site will load much faster, be easier to navigate, and hopefully more aesthetically pleasing.

The programming of the site is still not complete, so if you have any suggestions feel free to leave a comment. Also, since we’re switching to WordPress as our CMS you can drop us a line if you know of any interesting wordpress plug-ins that we should look at.
